The two red parts are the front and middle end housings. The unpainted aluminum rotor housing is in between. Below the "A" you can see the shadow of the trailing spark plug hole. Each 13B rotor housing is 80 mm wide, which makes the distance between 13B end housings 80 mm. 12A rotor housings are only 70 mm wide. The added 20 mm width from two 13B rotor housings makes a 13B about 3/4" longer overall than a 12A. The casting logo was changed for 1976 models to look like the familiar Mazda logo below.
